These are of the mounted issue with as were used by Luftwaffe , Kriegsmarine & cavalry troops without the need for the D rings at rear for equipment carriage .

Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (German Red Cross) "Helferinnen" Field Cap

in January 1938 the DRK introduced a new visored field cap, designated, Bergrettendienst Mütze, (Mountain Rescue Service Cap), with the design based on the Mountain caps worn by Austrian Mountain troops in WWI.

The eagles oval base is machine zig zag stitched to the cap.
